Introduction To The Production Process:

The production of nonwovens by needling is entirely mechanical, i.e. the needles of the needling machine pierce and strengthen the fluffy fiber webs to obtain strength. The basic principle is. A barbed needle with a triangular cross-section (or other cross-section) is used to puncture the web repeatedly. When the barbs pass through the web, they force the fibers on the surface of the web and part of the inner layer into the web. Due to the friction between the fibers, the originally fluffy web is compressed. When the felting needle is withdrawn from the web, the fiber bundles are separated from the barbs and left in the web, so that many fiber bundles are entangled in the web it cannot regain their original fluffy state. After many times of needling, a considerable number of fiber bundles are pierced into the fiber web, so that the fibers in the web are entangled with each other, thus forming a non-woven material with a certain strength and thickness of the needle punching method. Needle punching nonwoven process forms are pre-punching, main punching, pattern punching, ring punching, tube punching, etc.
